Vinny a.k.a [Inx]Godmode

Now this part of my blog goes out to a hardcore gaming fanatic who at first impression will never ever come off to you as being this lethal machine. He is polite, curteous and smiles but give him a comp and hook him onto the net and he will shoot you down!
Am talking about my colleague Vinay who is one of the co-founders of
http://www.theinxclan.tk/ a site devoted to the UT2004 obsessed. People we are talking hardcore gaming here.
STATUTORY WARNING: Come here only if you have the guts, attitude and sustainance to SURVIVE.

All i can say is check the site out and hook onto this growing nexus of wild, enthusiastic and passionate people who will freak you out completely!

Vinny keep it pumping, Angel you are a cutie! (P.S. come back from Italy soon....)

The 'Viz-ards' do it again...

It was a lovely sunny morning on the 12th of February 2005 when the Viz-ards set off once more to conquer the island of Mandwa (now labelled T.V.Industrial Estate Part-II!)
It was to be a day of many surprises as we had amongst us honourable 'Dinku' who paid us all the humble privilidge of his esteemed presence and of course our very own Tushar Ronaldo Walavalkar who flew down from Brazil especially for the day's festivities. We also had on board Jaya who was able to find time away from Big B and his busy schedule and our very own rock star Mitesh who made a late entry with his private entourage in his 16 cylinder-jet powered submarine.
Oh what a blast it was, an All-Stars day to raise funds for the VRF (Viz-ards Relief Fund). Our CEO could not make it because he had a meeting in Siberia and our henchman-the deadly 'Khanbhai' as he is affectionately known was in Dubai.
The day kicked off with some soccer with the in-form Tushar Ronaldo who has recently signed a 200 year contract with Mohun Baghban for 10 rupees showing his skills on the field and the dashing star of Lord of the Dinks-Dinku Pandit showing off his atheletic skills in the frisbee event.
Srooti Frooti did loads to help with the enthusiasm as she starred at the sea trying to scare it before she stepped in. (the record set was 4 hours 13 minutes 22 seconds 003 milliseconds before she actually decided to take a dip!)
Our professional photographer who had just finished shooting with Plaything, Hi-tech Casemaylaker especially flew in from Milan for the shoot and was so enthusiastic that he shot over 200 pictures of the models gathered at Mandwa.
Also amongst the group was rising porn star 'ganga a.k.a nanga' who was ever exhuberant and ready to mingle with the people gathered. Also amongst the star attractions on view was the vibrant 'Chitra Ericsson' who found time for the Page 3 event.
One of the most touching gestures was the sweet gesture of Vikrant Alexander THE GAYLORD who rode 2 million miles to make it to the event. P.S. he has developed the hots for Ganga a.k.a Nanga but does not want to act in a porn flick so is seriously considering the second option which is Rohan Sadhana who is HIV + and diagnosed with Hepatitis C.
All in all the day was brilliant and everyone was left pining for more by sunset.
Till the next outing....

Russell Peters fans-love me more!

Gemini award winning Canadian comic Russell Peters is known for a cheeky brand of comedy, that is rude and laddishness without being offensive to the females in the audience. He draws on his Asian and Canadian roots, focusing on the merge of cultures between East and West and takes a humorous look at a unique sub culture that has emerged - Indians who have grown up in Western countries. (20 Million Indian people live outside India.) While controversial at times, he avoids being senselessly derogatory, and combines his achingly funny observations with a likeable stage persona and cheeky grin.

there was a download available on one of his shows he did on this site, check it out.

This mind you is a true collectable as Russell Peters downloads are very hard to find on the net so APPRECIATE IT!

The brilliant konfabulator

my friend Hi-tech and i have this habit of sharing with each other our discoveries that we find over the world wide web and the 'konfabulator' is one of our latest discoveries.

You can download it at:
http://www.konfabulator.com/downloads/

and check the home page out for the different 'widgets' that it has to offer.
http://www.widgetgallery.com/

What is the Konfabulator?
Konfabulator is a JavaScript runtime engine for Windows and Mac OS X that lets you run little files called Widgets that can do pretty much whatever you want them to. Widgets can be alarm clocks, calculators, can tell you your WiFi signal strength, will fetch the latest stock quotes for your preferred symbols, and even give your current local weather. What sets Konfabulator apart from other scripting applications is that it takes full advantage of today's advanced graphics. This allows Widgets to blend fluidly into your desktop without the constraints of traditional window borders. Toss in some sliding and fading, and these little guys are right at home in Windows XP and Mac OS X. The format for these Widgets is completely open and easy to learn so creating your own Widgets is an extremely easy task. For the "skinning" crowd, Konfabulator is a dream come true. You can easily change the look, feel, layout, even functionality of a Widget so that it matches your lifestyle, your desktop, or the pants or skirt you have on that day.Konfabulator is the first product from Pixoria Inc.

Who are these guys?
Arlo Rose introduced themeable interfaces to the world with his work at Apple on the Appearance Manager and on the popular customization utility Kaleidoscope. He's been using a Macintosh to do cool stuff since it was released in 1984 and would rather leave the industry than have to use another operating system to get his work done (but will happily develop software for it).

Perry Clarke writes: In late 1983 I got a glimpse of my first Macintosh. I was sworn to secrecy because they weren't out yet and they were The Next Big Thing. As a junior engineer visiting a Valley company from an office in Ireland I had no idea what the fuss was about. Later the next year I got to play with one for real and was smitten. I can remember visiting a small computer store on El Camino Real and browsing the software hung in plastic bags from a rack, stuff written by people in their spare time. I figured I could do that but the opportunity never seemed to present itself (more precisely, the Macintosh never presented itself). Over the years and jobs I've usually managed to get people interested in Macs at the places I've worked but rarely had the chance to work on them professionally always ending up hacking UNIX or enduring Windows. In the early '90s a friend lent me his retired SE30 and I was enamored once more. Now the day-to-day work gets done on a dual processor G4, legally a munition, indeed. A little over a year ago I met Arlo and he convinced me to collaborate on the coolest software produced since, um, Kaleidoscope. The rest, as they say, is history.
